Calling all visionary leaders of faith! New Hope Missionary Baptist Church is prayerfully searching for a dedicated Pastor whom God has chosen to lead us into the future with purpose. We are located in Nashville, TN in the heart of the area known as The Gulch. With a strong foundation of over 138 years our church is a bible based, family centered, multigenerational congregation of over 400 members. This dynamic person will have a growth mindset, inspire, guide, and foster spiritual growth. The Pastor will be passionate about fostering unity, while seeking to understand the needs of the congregation. This leader must be an organized team player who is easily approachable, skilled in relationship building and who can effectively communicate to all age groups. This person will agree to uphold the Articles of Faith, Church Covenant, Constitution and By Laws.

Other Duties include but are not limited to: To preach and teach the Word of God, instructing the congregation, community evangelism and outreach, performance of special services (such as infant dedications, weddings, Right Hand of Fellowship, and funerals), conducting the two ordinances of the Baptist church (Baptisms and The Lords Supper), pastoral counseling, hospital and home visits for those in need and presiding over church business. A. The pastor will be senior administrator of all other auxiliaries and committees.

The Pastor must have a strong theological education with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college of university. A Master's in Divinity, MTS or MTA is preferred. Prior ministerial experience ( 5 years and above) in leading church activities, including regular preaching and teaching experience is required. This candidate should be proficient in technology and possess management/administrative capabilities. This person will effectively engage both our congregation and the online community through an impactful social media presence.
