Peachtree Christian Church
A CATHEDRAL FOR ATLANTA
About Peachtree Christian Church
The church was founded on Mother's Day in 1925. It is a Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregation, firmly situated in the Restoration Movement which seeks to base the church on New Testament principles and seeks unity among all Christian traditions. Currently, Peachtree has two regular worship services. One is formal, traditional and utilizes organ, choir and bell choir, and other classical music. The other is informal, structured in "word and table" format. It utilizes hymn singing but is flexible and would be the place for more modern forms of worship expression. The church is situated in Atlanta's "arts district" and enjoys beautiful architecture, art, and cathedral quality music on a regular basis.
