Job Title: Worship Leader
Status: Part Time
Department: Worship Arts Ministry
Reports to: Pastor of Worship Arts
The primary responsibility of the Praise and Worship Leader is to work in cooperation with the Senior Pastor and Pastor of Worship Arts in facilitating excellent weekly corporate worship experiences that seek to perpetually contribute to the spiritual formation, maturation and discipleship of the congregation. These experiences should include a healthy mix of traditional and contemporary worship repertoire.
Responsibilities/Competencies include but are not limited to the following:
GENERAL
- Regularly pray for The Luke Church, the senior pastor, staff, leadership, and congregation.
- Demonstrate a lifestyle that is committed to Christ.
- Manage personal social media in a manner that is not inconsistent with The Luke Church's ministry/brand.
- Arrive early and prepared for all services, events, meetings, and rehearsals as scheduled.
- Establish and foster exemplary relationships with staff, volunteers, church members, business partners, and the community.
WORSHIP ARTS MINISTRY
- Have at least three years of experience leading worship in diverse settings.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of basic music theory and harmony to communicate and teach music effectively.
- Lead worship at Luke services and events as scheduled/requested.
- Manage the Praise and Worship Team.

- Repertoire
- Rehearsals
- Administration
- Vocal Development
- Recruiting/Retention
- Lead/Direct one of the church's choirs.
- Assist with other ensembles/choirs as requested.
- Serve as a Staff Vocalist.
- Sing as needed during services/events.
- Participate in the production of recorded music.
- Actively participate in scheduled Worship Arts Ministry staff/team meetings.
- Operate in an aggressive, proactive, self-motivated, and meticulous manner.
- Regularly engage in professional development. Consistently cultivate mastery of your craft(s).
TYPICAL WEEKLY SCHEDULE
- Sunday Services (Approx 4.5 Hrs)
- 1st Wednesday Service (Approx 1 Hr )
- Thursday Rehearsals (Approx 2 Hrs )
- Mtngs/Srvcs as arranged
