PASTORAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Jehovah Baptist Church, established in 1930 in the 41 Community of Bonneau, South Carolina, has been proudly affiliated with the Antioch Baptist Association since 1933. Jehovah is seeking candidates who are interested in serving as a Pastor. We desire candidates who will accept the responsibility to direct and supervise spiritual instructions to the membership (collectively and individually); administer the ordinances as are applicable to the Baptist doctrine; and provide overall leadership and administration. Also to bring people to Jesus; mature them to Christ like behavior; and equip them for a ministry and life mission in this world. We seek a Pastor, called by God, to lead our congregation and embody the qualifications set forth in 1st Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-8, and Habakkuk 2:3. The Pastor shall execute his/her duties as they pertain to the administration and spiritual development of the church body.
Required Attributes:
- God fearing and saved;
- Able and willing to teach the congregation in bible class and other educational settings;
- Able to prepare and deliver biblically sound, inspirational and spirit filled sermons;
- Able to counsel effectively and confidentially;
- Embrace a vision for the body of Christ;
- Committed to make evangelism, outreach and church growth a priority;
- Possess good leadership, management, and communication skills;
- Committed to ongoing discipleship training for ministry leaders and church officers;
- Strong interpersonal skills.
