About Us: Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is a Christ-centered congregation devoted to worship, discipleship, and service. Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, we are committed to fostering spiritual growth, supporting our community, and sharing the love of God with all.
We are prayerfully seeking a visionary and devoted leader to serve as our Pastor. This individual will guide us in fulfilling our mission to glorify God, proclaim the Gospel, and nurture believers in their walk with Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
The Pastor will play a pivotal role in the spiritual and administrative leadership of the church, including but not limited to:
- Preaching and Teaching: Proclaim the Word of God through biblically sound sermons and teachings that inspire and challenge the congregation to grow spiritually.
- Pastoral Care: Provide compassionate support and guidance to members, including counseling, visitation, and officiating weddings, funerals, and baptisms.
- Leadership and Administration: Offer strategic direction and oversight of church ministries, programs, and operations in collaboration with church leadership.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in outreach initiatives to connect with the broader community and promote the mission of the church.
- Discipleship Development: Lead and mentor members in their spiritual growth, fostering a culture of discipleship and service.
