Thankful is recognized as one of the most influential congregations in Northwest Georgia.
Thankful Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor to serve as our congregation's spiritual leader. Our church is committed to fulfilling our mission, which is to minister to the needs of our community, lead lost persons to Christ, and disciple believers while advocating evangelism throughout our community, state, nation, and world. It is further our mission to educate by teaching each of our members to observe all things that Christ has commanded; to preach, baptize, and plant ministries and missions; to edify by highly exalting the name of Christ above all names; to develop our leadership for the perfecting of the saints while remaining relevant for the times that we might lead the world to revival through prayer and restoration.

JOB SUMMARY:
BIBLICAL GUIDELINES
1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9
Professional and Personal Requirements:
*Must be able to prepare and deliver sermons that are both Biblically sound and wellprepared
*Must possess and exhibit strong administrative and leadership skills, managing tasks related to church office operations, financial stewardship, and facility maintenance
*Must possess the ability to counsel/advise individuals, children to seniors, having personal and spiritual challenges
*Must maintain a history and reputation of high moral integrity and ethical standards
*Must possess the ability and skills to build consensus within the church’s organizational structure, promoting unity and cooperative effort
*Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Must exhibit a strong commitment and interest in pastoral aspects of pastoring, including but not limited to bereavement care, spiritual counseling/advising, and ministering to the sick and shut-in
*Must be innovative and receptive to new ideas, willing to utilize technology to enhance traditional practices and introduce novel approaches for the benefit of Thankful Baptist Church.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be licensed and ordained within the Baptist Ministry, exhibiting a comprehensive understanding of Baptist doctrines and theology.
College and/or Seminary Degree from an accredited college, seminary, or University is preferred.
