POSITION VACANCY
PASTOR
Hart’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a God-fearing, dedicated, servant of God to pastor our church in a bi-vocational position. The church is located just outside of Rocky Mount, NC in a diverse community. Our church family is rich in faith and united in our commitment to worship, fellowship and serve God. We are passionate about our community and outreach ministry and strive to make a positive impact locally and beyond. We are seeking a visionary leader with experience in developing and executing innovative ideas designed to bring growth to the church and the community.
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree and /or Seminary training from an accredited University/College.
Qualification:
- Licensed and ordained as a minister in the Baptist tradition
- Have a minimum of three years of pastoral experience as a pastor or an assistant/associate pastor
- Must be able to have schedule flexibility to fulfill pastoral duties
- Must be able to use technology effectively
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Must be able to preach, teach, lead, counsel membership and carry out all duties including visitation of the sick and shut-in
- Conduct worship services Commit to continuing education and development
- Possess effective administrative and organizational skills
- Leadership and coordination of support for the church’s auxiliaries and outreach ministry at the local level and beyond.
- Enhance the spiritual growth of the church
- Follow guidelines set forth in the church’s Constitution and By-Laws
