About Us: Imani Baptist Church was established in January 1997 and is currently seeking a Senior Pastor due to retirement of the founding pastor on May 26, 2024. Our church is located in Lexington, Kentucky, with a membership of approximately 200 members. We are prayerfully seeking a dedicated individual who is called by God and equipped to preach, teach, lead, and pastor according to the Word of God.
Position Summary: The Pastor will fulfill the spiritual needs of our congregation through preaching, teaching, praying, conducting baptisms, weddings, and funerals, presiding over business meetings, and administering the ordinances of the church. The ideal candidate will possess the biblical and spiritual qualities described in the Bible and be committed to leading our church toward spiritual growth.
Pastor Qualifications:
- Licensed and ordained minister in the Baptist faith.
- Active member of another church.
- Bachelor's and master's degree from an accredited college/university and/or theological degree.
- Growth-oriented with pastoral care capabilities.
- Possesses effective administrative skills and can organize and lead staff.
