SENIOR PASTOR WANTED

Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor who is called by God and equipped to effectively preach and teach the word of God. The candidate must be open-minded, a visionary thinker who can execute the vision, one who believes in preparation, and is people oriented. The candidate must also be able to fulfill the spiritual needs of the congregation through visitations, prayer, weddings, funeral ceremonies, church ordinances, and bylaws. Most importantly the candidate must also possess the biblical and spiritual qualities in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

SMBC is in the beautiful Mile High city of Denver Colorado. A beautiful view of God's glory of mountains from any position in the city. Denver, city and county, capital of Colorado, US., at the western edge of the Great Plains, just east of the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains.

PASTOR QUALIFICATIONS

Born again Christian-preaching the word in agreement with the King James Bible, also using other references when necessary.

Minimum of an Associate Degree in Theology from an accredited university but prefers a bachelor's degree in theology from an accredited university.

Minimum 3-5 years as an ordained minister under the tutelage of a Senior Pastor.

Communication skills both verbally and in writing to inform, persuade and comfort congregation members: A Pastors communication skills are also important to communicate with church staff and the media if necessary.

Exemplify strong moral character, being a spiritual leader of the Christian faith, and to give a good religious example to the congregation.

Meeting with members of the congregation to help them strengthen their faith or overcome significant life changes and or challenges in times of need.

Provide support and visitation to members who are going through bereavement, sickness and hospitalization.

Officiating at special occasions in the lives of the congregation, such as confirmations, weddings, baptisms, and funerals.

Ability to keep information private when working with congregation members to better counsel and comfort them in times of crisis; a pastor should respect a congregational member's privacy during and after pastoral counseling.

Ability to promote growth of the church.
