The historic, vibrant, and multi-generational 108-year-old Friendship Baptist Church of Detroit, Michigan, is on a journey and is prayerfully preparing for its next Pastor as modeled in 1 Timothy 3: 1-7, Titus 1: 6-9, Jeremiah 3:15 and Acts 20:28.
Qualifications
- Born-again believer in Jesus Christ
- Licensed and Ordained minister conversant in the Baptist Doctrine
- Bachelor's degree (minimum; higher level preferred) from an accredited college, Seminary, or Divinity School
- Minimum 10 years of Pastoral experience
Responsibilities
- Provide Biblical Preaching and Teaching
- Provide Spiritual and Visionary Leadership
- Provide Administrative Guidance
- Provide Effective Communication
Attributes
- Shepherding from a compassionate heart, having empathy for the flock, and nurturing the congregation with spiritual guidance.
- Prioritizing relationships, fellowship, and discipleship
