About Us: Monumental Baptist Church, a vibrant congregation with over 60 years of rich history, is currently seeking a full-time Senior Pastor. Our church, located in Memphis, TN, has an active membership of approximately 200 people and is involved in several dynamic ministries. We are prayerfully seeking a dedicated individual who is called by God and equipped to effectively preach, teach, and mentor using the Word of God.

Position Summary: The Senior Pastor will fulfill the spiritual needs of our congregation through preaching, teaching, visitations, prayer, conducting weddings and funerals, and administering the ordinances of the church. The ideal candidate will possess the biblical and spiritual qualities outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 and demonstrate a strong commitment to leading our church into continued growth and spiritual vitality.

Pastor Qualifications:

Licensed and ordained minister in the Baptist faith.
Visionary with sound judgment and discernment.
Active member of another church.
Minimum of five years of pastoral experience (preferred).
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and/or theological seminary training (preferred).
Effective communication skills (both written and oral).
Growth-oriented with pastoral care capabilities.
Ability to educate the congregation on stewardship.
Committed to continuing education and personal development.
Demonstrates ability to work effectively with a diverse congregation across all ages and genders.
Possesses effective administrative skills and can organize and lead staff.
Three letters of recommendation (clergy, layperson, and personal).
Copies of license, ordination certificate, and transcripts of educational accomplishments.
